About the Prints:

*Please NOTE: Monitors may not show the exact color. Some monitors show the images differently than the actual color of the image.

Prints are unframed. Canvas prints are stretched onto stretcher bars (not a frame).

*The images shown on the website and social media are displayed with a slight grain and watermark. Prints are considerably more beautiful in real life and will not have the grain, name, and watermark.

Because of the various height x width measurements of all of the images, the measurement prices are based on the longest length of the image: For example an 8 x 10 print shows 10" inch. *If you are interested in purchasing a size that is not listed please contact us.

Giclèe Fine Art Archival Printing

Giclèe prints are used for all of Michel Rain's artwork unless otherwise specified.

Giclèe, commonly pronounced "jee-clay," is an invented term for the process of making fine art prints from a digital source using high-end ink-jet printing methods. We print all of our Giclèes in-house to ensure the finest quality can be achieved. The reason we use Giclèes for our artwork is it produces the most accurate and pleasing reproductions of our original artwork that we have found.

About the equipment:

The 44-inch Epson Stylus Pro 9900 professional wide-format printers utilize a breakthrough new 8-color ink technology (K3 ink). The Epson 9900 offers uncompromised print quality and rivals printers such as Roland, HP, and Canon.

Epson UltraChrome K3™ ink technology utilizes eight new color pigments, including a new three-level black technology, which significantly increases the potential quality output for professional color and black and white prints. According to Epson, these inks offer the widest color gamut of any ink currently available on the marketplace (an increase of approximately .2 Dmax to the Ultrachrome). The addition of the third black ink now allows the Epson 9900 printer to produce true monochrome (black and white) inkjet prints. The new Epson k3 inks also utilize "High Gloss Mircocrystal Encapsulation Technology" which comes built into the Epson 9900 printer and serves to minimize bronzing on glossy papers.

One can utilize the Epson 9900 to produce archival prints with amazing color integrity, gloss-level, and scratch resistance. furthermore, the Epson 9900 produces professional neutral and toned black and white prints with higher density levels and virtually no metamerism or bronzing. Furthermore, the Epson 9900 delivers an astonishing resolution of 2880 x 1440 dpi. The Epson 9900 is capable of handling almost any media type, in roll or cut sheet, up to 44-inch wide.
